Rapidleech is a free server-transfer script written in PHP. Instead of downloading a file directly to your home computer (which is bottlenecked by local internet speeds), Rapidleech fetches the file onto a high-speed Virtual Private Server (VPS) or dedicated server. Once stored on the server, users can download the files via HTTP, FTP, or compress them into smaller archives.
The remote server downloaded the file at gigabit speeds, and the user subsequently retrieved the file from the server at their convenience. Key standard features included:
