The premise of Sonic Boom moves away from the typical "save the world" narrative, instead focusing on a more grounded, sitcom-style setting. The peace is, of course, constantly threatened by the schemes of his arch-nemesis, the brilliant but bumbling Dr. Eggman, who is determined to conquer the island and turn it into his own personal, mechanized theme park. The series emphasizes character-driven comedy, relationships, and the everyday absurdities of hero life, with each episode running for approximately 11 minutes.
