: After resetting the counter, it is highly recommended to physically inspect or replace the waste ink pads to prevent actual ink leakage in the future. Resetting the counter without addressing the physical pads is only a temporary software fix.
The physical pads should ideally be replaced or washed, and the digital counter must be set back to zero using an adjustment program. Features of the Epson L850 Adjustment Program
Look for this button and select Waste ink pad counter from the list. Check & Initialize:

Once this counter hits 100%, the printer locks itself down to prevent excess ink from leaking onto your desk or damaging internal electronics.
