The v9 font library has been rebuilt. It now supports OpenType features (kerning, ligatures) for script fonts. The new tool lets you create monogram frames by simply sketching a shape; the software automatically nests the letters inside the oval, circle, or square with perfect alignment.

DesignerPlus V9 includes a complete version of CorelDraw SE. This integration builds a perfect bridge between graphic design and embroidery. You can design vectors directly inside the software. Graphics convert to stitches with a single click. Artwork scales without losing clarity or sharpness.

Note: Bernina Designer Plus v9 does NOT support macOS natively. Mac users must run Parallels or Boot Camp with a licensed copy of Windows.

DesignerPlus V9 offers a more robust toolset than the Creator version, including a native CorelDRAW® SE integration, 930 built-in designs, full manual digitizing, and advanced effects such as 3D globe and couching. While the WiFi device is included in the package, it is an optional add-on for the Creator. To handle high-density designs, Bernina recommends: OS : 64-bit Windows 10 or 11; Mac requires Bootcamp.

While purists prefer manual digitizing, V9 includes a robust auto-digitizing wizard. Scan a logo, click "Convert," and the software generates a base. Unlike competitors, V9 allows you to "unpack" the auto-digitized result into nodes, letting you tweak entry/exit points and pull compensation manually.
