Blxst started his career as a producer. After finishing high school, he began crafting beats while being heavily influenced by Ryan Leslie, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye West. He founded his own label, Evgle, in 2015. He gained initial traction with independent singles and released the collaborative EP Sixtape with Bino Rideaux in 2019.
